Birth in La Linea

Hi there,

I think it's true...you can have a bad experience anywhere...doesn't matter if you are Spanish/British...in the UK or in Spain.
My experience was brilliant....absolutely NO complaints...ok, not all of the procedures were easy....but, since I have nothing to compare it with...I can't complain. Battered, but happy...I was walking around 2 hours after the birth. A Spanish friend of mine had a very bad experience at La Linea.
I was desperate for an epidural after 34 hours of contractions and with a twist in my spine, they still did it - brilliantly!!

Hospital General Universitario de Valencia

I don't want to bring any bad vibes onto the website, but I have to say that the birth experience wasn't what I'd been hoping for.
Fortunately, I now have a beautiful bouncy 11 month old baby who is happy and healthy and very very active!
I gave birth in the Hospital General Universitario de Valencia on the 27th October 2007. When we arrived at the labour ward, my partner was sent to register my details at the general reception in another building. That was the last I saw of him until the moment Lucia was born, when they finally allowed him into the delivery suite.

Birth Experience in Sevilla

baby4My son was born in march this year at Virgen Del Rocio hospital in Sevilla. He was 36 weeks gestation and weighed 2160g. It was an unusual and somewhat dramatic birth but the care was good.
