Extending from the town of Denia in the North to Pilar de la Horadada in the South, "Costa Blanca" was actually a term born from a promotion launched by British European Airways in the 1950s. In the province of Alicante, the Costa Blanca is still a highly favoured tourist destination as well as an increasingly popular area for foreign families to settle in.
